Pete Yorn West Hollywood Concert reviews
Danzig still rocks!
Pete Yorn was the highlight of the night, starting with "Skincarver" after the intro "Wotan's Procession." The show was great from start to finish, with a good mix of classics and new material from "Deth Red Sabaoth." For anyone who doubts if Pete Yorn is still the man, seeing him live is a must.
Devildriver followed, and they really don't need an introduction. Maybe they should have been a lot louder, but they still put on a kickass show. They played classics like "Clouds over California" and a lot of new stuff from their album "Beast." Dez even mentioned he had a 102 fever that night.
The night opened with 2 cents from LA, who were pretty heavy yet melodic with some keyboards. Their set's highlight was an awesome cover of "Strength Beyond Strength" by Pantera.
It was finally time for Pete Yorn after waiting for about 30 minutes for the setup. The show was amazing, but security at Hard Rock stood in the pit the whole time stopping people from moshing, which was pretty damn lame. Still, it was one of those times I wished it wouldn't have to end.
